About

My name is Tiga. The name of my podcast is “My Name Is Tiga.” But there was a time when my name was Tiga, and podcasts were just the stuff of fantasy.

My broadcasting career began with the 90s CKUT terrestrial radio show “The Tiga and Gnat Show”, wherein my co-host and I would treat the Montreal masses to the best electronic music in the world, music they would never have heard otherwise unless they had somehow managed to bug my parents’ house.

Several years later, I began the “My Name Is Tiga” podcast, featuring unreleased exclusives and classic tracks, as well as interviews with luminaries like James Murphy, Human League’s Martin Rushent, Dave Dewaele of Soulwax, and Jake Shears of Scissor Sisters. The show is renowned for its devastating wit, trenchant insights, and near-pathological aversion to dead air. All of the episodes are “enhanced”, featuring chapter titles and album artwork, making them the kind of immersive feast for the senses you’ve come to expect from podcasts.

Stay tuned for new surprises in 2011. I would never lie about surprising you, not even to surprise you…

Love,

Tiga
